OUR FEES & PRICING

We endeavour to give you as much information as possible so that you can make a considered decision as to whether you wish to instruct us to act on your behalf. 

 

Value added tax (VAT)

Unless we state otherwise, our fees are chargeable with Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate.

 

Disbursements

Disbursement are expenses we will incur and pay on your behalf in relation to the service being provided to you. Disbursement can include VAT.

 

As part of our services, we may where required instruct online search providers and search agents on your behalf and their fees will be charged to you as a disbursement. The following are typical examples of disbursements we may incur in relation to your matter:

 

  1. Client identification and anti money laundering (AML) checks also known as know your client (KYC) checks – such checks can include searches against you and or your companies at government institutions such as Land Registry and Companies House and include searches to verify your identity as part of our compulsory client due diligence risk assessment and CHAPS Banking Charges (£25 plus VAT)

  2. Conveyancing - Land Registry search fees, Companies House search fees, property searches fees (usually ranging from £500 to £1,000 depending on the local authority and the scope of searches relevant to your matter. E-submission fees to HM Land Registry and or Companies House and or HM Revenue and Customs

  3. Litigation – Court fees, expert fees, mediator fees.

 

To help provide a streamlined process, we instruct professional search agents and providers to expedite the return of searches. The fees for engaging such service providers will be notified to you in our terms of engagement and included in our statement of account and invoices to you and will include VAT chargeable by the service provider as applicable.
